Catherine Mathilda is sent form England to marry the insane King Christian V11 whilst just a teenager.  She falls deeply in love with the king’s physician, Johann Struensee, a radical thinker who embarks on a reform programme starting hospitals and ending torture.  A carefully made production adding real depth to one of Europe’s most intriguing royal stories.
