A sensual and complex coming of age story. Hitler Youth Lore abandoned by her Nazi parents in the wake of World War II must lead her four siblings across Germany to join their grandmother 500 miles away.
We follow her journey as she learns to survive, swapping jewellery for food, learning about the camps and falling in with a Jewish survivor who protects them. For the first time the children are exposed to the reality and consequences of their parents actions.
